Krüss offers three models in its series of Melting Point Meters, for testing the melting point of powdered materials. The M5000 is automated, simple to operate and light. It has on-screen instruction prompts and temperature control via an LCD screen. Quick measurement across all ranges of temperature is done by the inclusion of an internal cooling fan, and an alarm that can be programmed to tell the user when melting point is reached (this device can bear up to 400C). The KSP1N and KSP1D, work in a very similar way to the M5000, but with decreased maximum temperature (up to 360C.) The KSP1D also includes a printer providing temporal results. Both units additionally bear an IP20 rating.
